Costs

 $375-$450 for full day per group/party (up to 4 people, fees can vary depending on location, method of transportation, actual length of day). For half day or less, $32/hour per group/party (up to 4 people). Please note that Central California Birding Tours does not carry commercial auto insurance, and thus it is highly preferable for clients to use their own vehicles during tours. If clients are comfortable with it, the guide will ride with them in their vehicle. In cases where the guide uses her own vehicle, trips to distant locations will incur an additional fee. For instance, trips to the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada will incur an additional cost of up to $150 per travel day, and trips to some locations along the coast will incur an additional cost of up to $100 per travel day. In instances where the guide has to drive one to two hours to a birding destination, there will be an additional fee of $35 to account for time, mileage, and vehicle wear and tear. Participants’ lodging, meals, and travel expenses not included in guiding fees.
